2025 SBC Australia Day congress highlights

Thank you for joining us in one of our annual congresses 2025 SBC Australia Day Matchpointed Swiss Pairs! We broke our own record again with 14 tables in the Open field and 17 in the Restricted & Novice. There were players from 15 different clubs, including Canberra and SA. It was encouraging to see also youth players competing in congresses.

Congratulations to the winners:

OPEN

Open winners – Marcia and John Scudder.
Mary Anne Loveridge presented the prize to the Open 2nd Mick McAuliffe and Terry Palmer.
Open 3rd – Mitch Dowling and Alan Stoneham.

    RESTRICTED & NOVICE

    Restricted winners Debra and Paul Birkby from Canberra.
    2nd in Restricted Gayle Calvert and Steve English.
    Novice winners – John Fitzpatrick and Julie Hamilton.
    The Best Less Than 20 Masterpoints Pair – Jane Zhang and Rosanna Sistenich.

    The Best Less Than 50 Masterpoints Pair goes to Judy King and Catharina Muller; and The Best Less Than 20 Masterpoints Pair to Rosanna Sistenich and Jane Zhang.

    Our next congress will be the Easter Monday Teams on 21st April 2025. It’s open for entry on MyABF! Want to hangout with the welcoming crowd from Sydney Bridge Club earlier than that?
