Sydney Bridge Club is a not-for-profit club, run for the benefit of its members and the wider bridge playing community. Our centrally located main club room, Sydney Bridge Centre, is at Level 1, 162 Goulburn St, Surry Hills. This venue is 5 minutes walk from Central Station or Goulburn St Parking Station, on the edge of the Sydney CBD.
For members who live in the Inner West, we also host a weekly duplicate session on Thursdays at Canada Bay Club, and Saturday at Henley Community Centre.
We are a large and friendly club, commited to providing a welcoming environment to players at all levels. We run several duplicate bridge sessions each week, monthly workshops and lessons for beginners and improvers. We also hold regular club congresses and other events throughout the year.
Membership of SBC entitles you to discounted rates for all duplicate bridge sessions, workshops and club congresses. You’ll be invited to special club events and included in competitions such as our Player of the Month. A regular newsletter is available to keep you updated on all the fun activities coming up at SBC.
Becoming a member also means you become part of the SBC family. You can vote at general meetings, and elect the board. Being a not-for-profit club, we rely on volunteers for many aspects of our operations, and always welcome a helping hand.
Our membership runs annually from January to December. The cost is $95 for normal membership, or $65 Concession rate (available to Pensioner Concession Card holders, DVA Concession Card holders, and full time students).
We use part of your membership fee ($20) to fund Bridge NSW’s activities of the peak body for governing Bridge in NSW, and another $23.30 goes to the Australian Bridge Federation, which enables our members to participate in the ABF Master Points Scheme, and access discounted Travel Insurance and other offers.
