♣♦ Look forward to in 2025 ♥♠
There are a lot of activities in Sydney Bridge Club for players of different levels and aspirations. On top of our regular bridge sessions, beginners courses and workshops, we also run special events throughout the year. Please refer to our Club Calendar for details.
🏆 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP (through the year)
The Sydney Bridge Centre Individual Championships will start in January 2025. There will be monthly awards (Player of the Month) and annual prizes (Club Champions), both have 5 divisions based on players’ masterpoints ranking. That means you may be a winner in your division for a mediocre result when you play in a more challenging session.
The 5 Divisions are:
- Nil – Graduate 0-2 masterpoints
- Club & Local 5-15 masterpoints
- Bronze Local – Bronze Regional 25-100 masterpoints
- State – National 50-150 masterpoints with required RED masterpoints components (players with experience in competition)
- Bronze National & above 200 masterpoints and above with required RED masterpoints components (players with experience in competition)
Not sure of your current Masterpoint Rank? You can look it up at the ABF Masterpoints Centre.
Most Improved Player of the Month
- You must play 3 times in the month in any qualifying OPEN MATCHPOINT session to qualify (at any of our venues).
- The average percentage of your BEST 3 results will be used to calculate your result & compared to 6 months earlier.
- This means the more sessions you play, the more chances to improve the BEST 3 results you have, as your worst results will be discarded.
- To WIN the FREE GAME VOUCHER, you must be ranked by the ABF Masterpoint Centre in one of the categories at the start of the month.
- Both members and visitors can win.
- The 2024 Player of the Month results
Annual Club Champion
- This is the Annual Competition for individual players. There are 5 divisions to win, each will be awarded cash prize! Prize money to be paid at the SBC Christmas Party.
- You must play (at any of our venues) at least 15 times from 1st January to 30th November in any qualifying OPEN MATCHPOINT session to qualify.
- The average percentage of your BEST 15 results will be used to calculate your result.
- This means that if you play more sessions, then you have more chances to improve your BEST 15 results as your worst results will be discarded.
- ONLY members can win the Annual Individual Club Champion.
- The 2024 Club Champions results
