We ran the State Wide Pairs event a couple weeks ago. There were 26 clubs and a total of 452 pairs competing in this state-organised program. The State-wide results are now available and the Sydney Bridge Centre players got their places in the top 20 in all the categories –

- 1st Paul and Helen Lavings (Illawarra Bridge Association). Paul is also our member. He is the owner of the bookstore in the Goulburn Street venue (on the North wall).
- 11th Mick McAuliffe and Wing Roberts (SBC)
- 20th Victor Clarke and Paul Molloy (SBC)
Our buddy Hunters Hill Bridge Club also has some players in the leading board, including Carol Sheldrake – Kitty Biro on 6th, Elizabeth Rowe – Jane Wynter on 15th. Strathfield didn’t participate in this year’s State Wide Pairs.
Under 25 Masterpoints Results
- 13th Bobby Morton and Annie Page. They came 13th out of 48 pairs who have fewer than 25 masterpoints each.
Under 50 Masterpoints Results
We have a few place-getters in this category (34 pairs in total).
