Please join us for our annual charity game in support of NSW Stroke Awareness Week on Wednesday 10th September. This is a wonderful cause that is close to our heart – Anita Rosenberg, a former SBC player, was one of the original founders of Stroke Recovery Association. Her husband Allen will join us on the day, as well as the current CEO of Stroke Recovery Association, Michelle Sharkey O.A.M.
Last year we raised $1500. Let’s see if we can beat that this year!
The SBC Goulburn Street Clubroom will be open from 9am, with proceedings starting at 9:45am.
RED masterpoints will be awarded.
Table money for this special event will be $22/18/27 for member / concession / visitor, with $5 from every player to be donated to Stroke Recovery Association. Raffle tickets with great prizes will also be on sale on the day, with all proceeds also donated. Play will be divided into two separate fields suitable for Open and Supervised players. (There will be no lesson for Supervised this week).
Prizes will also be awarded on the day for winners, including for overall session winners and the Best Pair who have fewer than 2 masterpoints each.
Players are invited to bring baked goods and other edible treats to share. Prizes awarded for most popular dish!
No need to book, walk-ins are welcome. Come in solo and we will find you a partner to support this meaningful event.
