2026 SBC GNOT Club Qualifier results

The Grand National Open Teams (GNOT) is the only national event that a club can run to offer gold masterpoints to its players. We ran the Club Qualifier in June, the event was well supported by our competitive players. After 3 sessions, Mick McAuliffe and Wing Roberts won the event with an impressive 89 IMPs in the last session. They are in discussion with the 2nd placed pairs David Burton and Ian Lincoln regarding team configuration in representing SBC in the GNOT Metro Final on 22nd – 23rd August.

Mick McAuliffe and Wing Roberts won the GNOT Club Qualifying Event with a big come back in the 3rd session.

Earlier in March, SBC ran the GNOT Direct Qualifier selecting the first line winners – the winning team (the orange line) Patrick Jiang, Sherlock Shao, Hui Li and Kelsey Chen qualified via SBC direclty to the online National Qualifier in September (bypass the Metro Final). The 2nd placed team (the purple line) David Wiltshire, Pauline Gumby, Bruce Neill and Warren Lazer will be the first SBC team competing in the Metro Final, while Mick and Wing’s team (the teal line) will become the second SBC team there.
