The State Pairs and State Teams are new events replacing the former State Open Pairs and Open Teams formats. These competitions highlight top performers across three distinct categories: Open, Under Grand (<1000 MPs), and Under National (<150 MPs).
State Pairs Metro Final Qualifiers
Congratulations to our winners from the recent 3-week selection events held in the City – the Tuesday night series on 5, 12 & 19 May and Thursday morning series on 7, 14 & 21 May. They will represent SBC at the Face-to-Face Metro Final on 26 September.

Open Representatives
Open – Mark and Julie Guthrie who qualified via the Thursday morning series. No Open category representative qualified during the Tuesday night series.
Under Grand Representatives (<1000 Masterpoints)
Under Grand – One pair from was selected via each qualifying event.
Under National Representatives (<150 Masterpoints)
Under National – One pair from was selected via each qualifying event.
We are going to run another event selecting a team in each category (Open, Under Grand and Under National) over 3 Thursday mornings on July 23, 30 & August 6 (City only). IMPs Pairs scoring, we will sponsor the top 2 pairs in each category to form a team to play in the State Teams Metro Final on 27 September. No need to book or enter in advance. RED masterpoints, $5 extra table money fee.
