We ended up having 34 teams playing in the Easter Monday Swiss Teams on 6th April. There were the pros and experts, decent club players, the fearless youth and first timers in the field. Some of the teams were formed with a mixture of skill levels and experience – obviously it is not a concern if they can win in the lowest eligible division, they were just after a quality game with teamies whom they will go dinner with!
The day started with “hunting Easter bunnies”. I didn’t tell the volunteers that I hid bunnies in two bidding boxes, and they distributed them randomly on tables. The door prizes were claimed by Robyn Rogers and Michael Cartmell.
